MARKETING EXECUTIVE
JOB PROFILEMarketing executives develop and oversee marketing campaigns to promote international conferences. The role of a marketing executive can encompass creative, analytical, digital, commercial and administrative responsibilities. Executives are likely to work closely with other employees in areas such as advertising, data research, market research, conference production. The role broadly includes planning, organising events, sponsorship, advertising, public relations and research.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Conduct detailed research on latest topics for potential conferences/events
- Assist conference production team in the conference feasibility study
- Identify potential vendors (30-40) who can sponsor the show
- Conduct marketing analysis, pricing, promotion, business case of each conference
- Identify most suitable dates and best locations for this conference
- Give guidelines to our Data research team to find most relevant leads
- Plan and execute email Marketing Campaign to attract speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors at the conferences
- Create Media Partnerships (8-10) with dedicated news websites, trade associations through barter agreements
- Coordinate with in-house graphic designer to send banners to media partners for event promotion
- Validate the data obtained from the Data Research Team and ensure good data has been identified for each conference
- Liaison with producer to get their speaker topics to be added on the website and conference PDF agenda
- Coordinate with sponsors to get their logo, speaker’s details etc. on the website, email campaigns and agenda
- Coordinate with the website designer to constantly update each event website and test them from time to time to check for any errors
- Coordinate with graphic designer to prepare content for the emailer’s campaign
- After the event adding all the speaker presentations on the conference websites in PDF format
- Coordinate with delegate team to send emails to all delegates with link to download the speaker presentations
- Promote the event on social media (LinkedIn/Twitter) to create a buzz
- Any other marketing activity as may be necessary to promote the show
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s in marketing or related discipline
- 1-3+ years of related marketing experience, ideally in event marketing, demand generation, or client acquisition
- Marketing or communications background degree and further relevant qualifications
- Highly organized with an ability to manage resources, budgets.
